End of Life Care

Whether you’re supporting a loved one who is dying or you are personally struggling with the finality of this phase of life, an end of life doula (also known as a death doula) is a nonmedical support person who lovingly serves and supports individuals and families. These very personalized experiences may include the following services:

Guided visualizations and meditations to help alleviate anxiety and suffering

Family/caregiver relief, support, and updates for out-of-town loved ones

Assistance with fulfilling final wishes, healing relationships, and/or putting things in order

Development of vigil plans, life review, and legacy projects

Bedside presence during the final stages of the dying process

After-death rituals

About End of Life Support

"Reiki is better than placebo in activating the parasympathetic nervous system, as measured by reduced heart rate, reduced blood pressure, and increased heart rate variability. For patients with chronic health conditions, Reiki has been found to be more effective than placebo for reducing pain, anxiety, and depression, and for improving self-esteem and quality of life."
― NIH: National Library of Medicine

Nearly a decade ago, in 2014, The Washington Post stated that more than 60 U.S. hospitals have adopted Reiki as part of patient services, and according to a UCLA study, Reiki education is offered at 800 hospitals.
